Universal nFEP film pre-cut into A4 sized sheets for resin 3D printing. This film is also called NON FEP, PFA or perfluoroalkoxy film.
NFEP is a name recently created by a few manufacturers meaning “non-FEP” film. NFEP film was developed as a better alternative to FEP film and its composition was kept secret for a while. However, after some research it was discovered that NFEP is actually PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) film. We were able to source and offer to you a high quality NFEP film at a very good price.
Is NFEP better than FEP? Yes and no. The main advantage of NFEP is its ability to withstand repeated bending without fracturing. In fact it is 10 times more resistant than FEP.
NFEP also stretches less and thus releases prints from the film faster.Â
However, its surface is a bit softer and it is more prone to scratching. You have to be careful when removing failed prints stuck to the film.
On top of that, our tests did not show that it provides significantly lower 3D printing failure rate compared to the regular FEP film. In fact, some models with thin supports printed better with FEP film.
On other occasions, it might be wiser to stick to the regular FEP film. Remember, punctured FEP film is much cheaper to replace.Â
Both our FEP and NFEP films have:
